Tear duct

The work is a very dramatic piece related to the prostitution phenomenon. The artist did a mold of the face of a prostitute in Havana; then, he recreated a public object (a stainless steel drink fountain) adjusting the portrait to the mechanism of the object in a very sensual position. During the opening of the show, the public could drink red wine from the piece, causing the sensation of a kiss between the work and different people. But the mechanism of the piece only functions if the spectator puts a coin inside a hole and  introduces a finger inside the object. In this case, the relation between art and publc is a kind of metaphor about possession, pleasure and sadness; because the face position in the sculpture reminds an erotic situation and a sacrifice position at the same time.
